About our presenters:

Cynda Collins Arsenault is Co-founder, Board Chair and President of the Secure World Foundation. She also co-founded and serves on the Boards of the Arsenault Family Foundation and One Earth Future, an operating foundation working to catalyze systems that eliminate the root causes of war. She has 45+ years of experience in non-profit work including peace and justice, criminal justice, mental health, disability rights and environmental issues. Cynda is an IWF Colorado member. Patricia Cooper has over 45 years of private and public sector experience. She served for eight years as a senior executive appointee to advise the Canadian government on the effects of Federal legislation on women and children, while managing two offices in Western Canada. She was a founding member of The Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund to achieve equality for women through education and litigation under a new Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. Pat currently serves on the Board of Capital Sisters International, a micro-finance innovation and the Advisory Board of the Colorado Women’s College at the University of Denver. She serves on the Leadership Board for the Women’s Studies in Religion Program at Harvard University. Pat founded the Women’s Regional Network: Afghanistan, Pakistan and India and has been the sole pro-bono convener since 2010. Read more>

Patricia Foley Hinnen has worked in economic development and international affairs for the past three decades with the U.S. Congress, the U.S. State Department, and the microfinance industry. She created the first women’s bond in the world to finance micro loans, for which she won the Global Purpose Prize for Financial Inclusion. Since 1998, she has helped establish seven domestic and international microfinance organizations under the Capital Sisters umbrella, raised loan capital for 100,000 women’s businesses in 25 countries, and served as a microfinance and gender advisor to the State Department.

Patricia is an IWF Colorado member. She won an award for “Ideas Remaking the World” at IWF’s 2019 World Leadership Conference in Toronto last fall, in recognition of her innovative work to finance micro business loans for women in developing countries. This IWF award showcases women with bold plans to disrupt the status quo.

Eliza Woloson, Anthropologist, Entrepreneur. In 1998, after her anthropological research in Sumbawa, Eliza founded Global Education Fund, a nonprofit that invests in transformative local solutions to education in emerging markets. In 2018, Global Education Fund joined with Girl Rising to launch a venture philanthropy fund to invest in social entrepreneurs with culturally-relevant ideas to promote gender equality and improve education quality. In addition to managing the nomination process for Women Have Wings, Eliza consults international NGOs on program evaluation, monitoring and learning. A determined advocate of women’s rights internationally and the author of of “My Friend Isabelle”, Eliza has received numerous awards for her work. Eliza is an IWF Colorado member. Read more>
